  1. Spider-Man was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, and first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962.
  2. Peter Parker, the original (and classic) alter ego of Spider-Man, is a high school student who gained his spider-like powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider.
  3. Spider-Man’s signature move is shooting webs from his wrists, which he uses to swing from building to building and capture criminals.
  4. Spider-Man is known for his wit and wise-cracking sense of humor, which often helps him defuse tense situations.
  5. Peter Parker works for the Daily Bugle as a freelance photographer who specializes in obtaining Spider-Man photos.
  6. In addition to his spider-like powers, Spider-Man is also an adept scientist and inventor, using his technical skills to create gadgets and devices to help him in his crime-fighting endeavors.
  7. Spider-Man’s most famous villains include the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus (aka Doc Ock), Venom, and the Sandman.
  8. Spider-Man has made numerous appearances over the years in comic books, cartoons, and movies. Movie actors for Peter Parker/Spider-Man have included Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland.
