In light of their 10th Anniversary celebration, Mad Cave Studios is thrilled to mark a decade of creativity and community at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2024!
Join Mad Cave, Maverick, and Papercutz in celebrating this monumental milestone with an unforgettable lineup of panels, signings, exclusive variants, and special events showcasing our talented creators, beloved characters, and special guests and exciting unexpected surprises at booth #2806!
The fan-favorite publisher welcomes Sam J. Jones (Sat. July 27th, 12:30pm – 1:30pm), the iconic actor known for his legendary role as Flash Gordon in the 1980 cult classic film. With his charismatic presence and heroic portrayal, Jones became a beloved figure in science fiction and fantasy. His participation at San Diego Comic Con is a highlight for fans old and new. Jones will be joining Mad Cave Studios at SDCC to celebrate the launch of their exciting new series featuring Flash Gordon and Defenders of the Earth. This collaboration brings together classic characters and dynamic storytelling, promising to captivate audiences once again.
Mad Cave is also thrilled to announce the special guest appearance of renowned Japanese voice actor Katsuji Mori and the Escorza Bros. (Fri. July 26th, 1pm – 2:30pm). A revered figure in the anime world, Mori is best known for his iconic roles as Ken Washio / G-1 in “Science Ninja Team Gatchaman” and many others including but not limited to Dragon Ball, Hunter × Hunter, and One Piece. With a career spanning decades, Mori’s distinctive voice has brought to life some of the most beloved characters in anime history. Katsuji Mori joins Mad Cave Studios in celebration of their upcoming new Gatchaman series, bringing his legendary voice talents to a new generation of fans. |

The topic of book banning has risen as more and more books are taken off the shelves, especially graphic novels. These creators speak about K-12 graphic novels and literacy, what we can do about censorship in our communities, and most importantly, how to keep bans off our books!

The biggest creators in comics are joining forces with Mad Cave, and taking comics worldwide! Mad Cave’s most explosive secret will be a secret no more, an on-stage reveal literally centuries in the making. Great stories and characters made expressly for fans everywhere. If you want stories that feel like they were established in your very own imagination, you won’t want to miss this. Also: Absolutely mandatory attendance for journalists, bloggers, and podcasters!
An extra congratulations to Oliver Bly, writer and artist of The Mushroom Knight, who has been nominated for the 2024 for the Russ Manning Promising Newcomer Award. The Manning Award has been given out annually at Comic-Con since 1982. It is presented to a comics artist who, early in his or her career, shows a superior knowledge and ability in the art of creating comics. The winner will be announced at this year’s Eisner Awards in a gala awards ceremony on Friday, July 26.
