Rejoice Fans! Samurai Jack is Returning to Cartoon Network in 2016!

Adult Swim has just announced in a short YouTube video that a brand new season of Samurai Jack to launch in 2016. The show will return during Cartoon Networks Adult Swim’s Toonami block and is currently in production in Los Angeles.

Samurai Jack, the 4 time Emmy Award winning series which ended a decade ago is coming back! Created by Genndy Tartakovsky, the groundbreaking animated series Samurai Jack debuted in 2001. Over the course of four seasons and 52 episodes, the show went on to become a cult favorite, that blended the best of anime, samurais, sci-fi, time travel. In a battle through time, the story follows a man named Jack, who is in the quest to head back home, all while defeating the demon Aku.

While Jack has been in comic books with IDW since its TV show end, fans have been dying for an incarnation. Well rejoice fans, for today you got your wish!
