Quentin Tarantino has been hinting at retirement since 2012 when he revealed he’ll stop after making 10 films. His latest film, The Hateful Eight, would be his eighth film. What does the Oscar-winning director want to do after retiring from Hollywood? Write novels and stage plays.

Tarantino was quoted, “What I want to do basically is I want to write novels and I want to write theater and I want to direct theater. I actually want to do a theatrical adaptation of Hateful Eight because I actually like the idea of other actors having a chance to play my characters and see what happens from that.” In my opinion, The Hateful Eight would work brilliantly as a theatrical play as there is plenty of dialogue.

Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight has already won an award this year. It won a Golden Globe for Best Original Score.
