Popular Game ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ Has a Movie Adaptation in the Works

Five Nights at Freddy’s has become a viral, gaming success.  Created by Scott Cawthon, the game has hit the internet by storm and according to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has made plans to adapt the horror game series into a movie.

The first game of the three-part series (so far) was first released to Steam during the summer of 2014.  It’s creepy characters and jump scares are what brings this game to life and the players dying for more.  The indie horror game has made trips to Chuck-E-Cheese a bit creepier seeing as the robotic animal band at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza joint come to life at night and murders the night-watch if caught.  The game play is all about surviving the night locked this kiddy wonderland and continuously switching through security cameras to make sure you are safe in your domain.

The producer, Seth Grahame-Smith, spoke about how the filmmakers are planning on making the game into an “insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie.”  The creator of the game, Cawthon, couldn’t agree more in his statement on how the game, “really lends itself to being a movie.”

The game is available for PC and mobile devices.
