#7 – Daytona2050 – The “Lemon” Of Conventions? Part 1

Not everything in the Cosplay world is bright and shiny, and the convention world is not an easy one to make money in, especially now that it has gone mainstream and conventions are popping up everywhere and many of them are huge failures.

Daytona2050 was a convention that was over-planned, over-promised, and poorly run, and as a result it under-performed and the owner, Heath Jones, is making everyone else pay for his mistakes.

Have I found a way to link the DC movie universe with the TV universe?!  Little known “Man of Steel” Easter Egg could be linked to new Supergirl TV series!

It all starts back in 2013 with the “Man of Steel” movie directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Michael Shannon as General Zod.

#5 – Rewind Con – Did It Rewind?

We had written about Rewind Con a few times. The first time was because they changed their dates, they had moved it from September 23rd to November 11th. They claimed the reason for the date change was because of a forced change of venue. Things happen, it wasn’t much of a red flag.

Then our second article came about when people started complaining that they weren’t getting the promised refunds after the date change. This is when things started getting interesting. During our investigation, we found a few details that weren’t lining up…and then day of the event…and things got worse.

#3 – Geek Girl Chicago’s Controversy In The Cosplay World

There has recently been an article posted on Geek Girl Chicago by one of their writers that has caused significant controversy in the local cosplay community. Unfortunately the article is very one sided as it has been written from the perspective of the victim. There was no third party perspective and the accused was not provided an opportunity to defend themselves in the same forum. The article has already done significant damage to the reputation, hobby, and career of the accused.
