He’s intense, he’s out of his mind crazy, he is the superhero known as the Badger!

Norbert Sykes is a good ol’ red-blooded American kid who becomes a man in the ranks of the U.S. military. As a strong keen soldier, he befriends a bomb sniffing dog named Otis and the two inseparable buddies risk life and limb daily protecting their fellow soldiers. Until one day the horrors of war finally take their toll on Sykes, as an unfortunate event during an insurgents attacks has him sent home in its aftermath. Only now it seems that Sykes is no longer alone, as the poor man has now developed a multiple personality disorder. With at least a half-dozen different entities rambling around in his head, any one of them can come busting out at any time making those around Sykes think he’s beyond repair. He calls most people “Larry” and walks in his own world of make-believe that bleeds seamlessly into ours. While he thinks he’s just fine, Norbert Sykes is far from it.

The most powerful of Sykes’ personalities is a lunatic that calls himself the Badger. Meeting his spirit animal in the Hells of war, a badger, it gave Sykes the power and ability to fight the evil men and demons that are in our world wreaking havoc. With the ability to “communicate” with animals, his true compassion is for the wild and always looking to be on the side of right.

The wild man from the Midwest is back and better than ever with creator Mike Barron, artist Jim Fern, and Paul Mounts bringing the Wisconsin superhero to 1First Comics / Devils Due publishing. The berserking wildman of independent comics is going to please many of his original fans. as well as a whole new generation, in the debut new first issue coming in February. This is the best looking incarnation of the long beloved action hero and a whole new look at the origin of the troubled man we know as Norbert Sykes.
