PopCultHQ’s Comic Book Review:
Bloodshot Salvation #1

Writing:

Jeff Lemire is a well-known face in the writing part of comics (having worked for DC, Marvel, Top Shelf, Vertigo, etc.), so adding his name to the line of people who have written Bloodshot’s adventures is a fantastic choice. He brings a certain clarity to the character, but there is also those elements underneath of the Bloodshot known and loved by all. Fans will really love what he’s doing here with this new series and will keep coming back after reading issue #1.

Art:

Lewis LaRosa and Mico Suayan’s art is awesome. Both of them do a great job throughout the book chronicling this next chapter in the long saga of Bloodshot. There’s a nice mix of the smooth with the rough, and readers will be able to tell whose work is whose, which makes this team-up for issue #1 all the more delightful.

Brian Reber gets the colors for this latest Bloodshot series just right. The colors are of a darker texture where needed and lighter for scenes that aren’t filled with action, blood and violence. He has tapped into the color spectrum that makes up the Bloodshot world and came up with pure magic.

PopCultHQ’s overall assessment:

Bloodshot comics are fan favorites and this new series is sure to be just as loved as the previous ones. But there’s something different this time for Bloodshot, something more to the story then what people will expect. There’s more to fight for, more to live for, more to die for. And that’s what is sure to make Bloodshot Salvation a real winner.

PopCultHQ’s Rating:

5 Out of 5 Stars
