PopCultHQ’s Comic Book ReviewSecond Sight #3

SS2This book is straight up wild. Not your typical comic book for sure. Violence, pornography, and pedophilia. Definitely for mature readers. A touch of British references is appealing. It may not be for everyone, but I do enjoy British comedies and films so I can appreciate the mentions.

Writer David Hine puts forth this wild tale that leaves you puzzled, but intrigued. I certainly need to review the first two books to get me a little more up to speed. But was David has done magnificently is writing a story that is so gripping it sucks you in. I am actually looking forward to issue four to see where this is headed..

Alberto Ponticelli’s art surprisingly fits this type of story. It definitely compliments Hine’s delivery. I must say that this isn’t the type of comic I would normally pick up at my LCS, but I would give the next issue a try and see if it makes my pull list. Plus I do have faith in what AfterShock Comics is doing so we’ll give it a go. Plus the word “bollocks” always makes me laugh.

PopCultHQ’s Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Stars
Almost made it a 4-star rating, but unfortunately I missed the first two issues and it was difficult jumping into the series with this issue.

PCHQ 3.5
