[Podcast/Video] Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend: Dax Shepard

Conan Needs a Friend

With Conan O’Brien on hiatus from his late night show, the comedian/talk show host has been connecting with some of his favorite guests through his podcast.

After 25 years at the Late Night desk, Conan realized that the only people at his holiday party are the men and women who work for him.

Over the years and despite thousands of interviews, Conan has never made a real and lasting friendship with any of his celebrity guests. So, he started a podcast to do just that.

Deeper, unboundedly playful, and free from FCC regulations, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend is a weekly opportunity for Conan to hang out with the people he enjoys most and perhaps find some real friendship along the way.

Actor Dax Shepard feels very optimistic about being Conan O’Brien’s friend. Dax and Conan sit down to talk about manhood, being made fun of, tycoons, shyness in comedy, and making plans to hang out. Plus, Conan finds out where his assistant Sona disappeared to while they were on tour during a game of “True or False.” And around 37:00, Dax and Conan look back at their old texts and Dax rates Conan’s looks.

In “Team Coco Holiday Traditions,” comedians and celebrities recount their favorite—or least favorite—memories of the holidays. A young Dax Shepard stood starry-eyed at the marvel known as a “Water Weenie” and a Shepard family tradition was born.
