Official “Attack on Titan” movie trailer and character posters here!

“Attack in Titan” official movie trailer:

Attack On Titan live action movie. Release dates of August 1st and September 19th in Japan were also announced.

Attack on Titan” has quickly become one of the fastest growing vastly popular anime of all time and it’s only about to get more colossal!! The Japanese Manga series (Japanese comic books) then turned MEGA hit animated TV show is coming to the big screen! If you have not heard yet “Attack on Titan” is going LIVE action and in a BIG way!!

Here’s the latest Attack on Titan news I have for you, along with new movie posters for the live action movie they have also just, released in Japan, posters depicting the actors in their movie attire. All the look of the characters from the source material seems to be there, at least as far as the animated series goes (I don’t know where the rocket launcher comes in though). From reports I am reading, it seems one drastic difference from the animated show is going to take place and that is time period. From the location picked and now the posters released, we can piece together the time period Attack on Titan will take place.

Attack on Titan is being filmed on location in Japan…well, actually a deserted island located off the coast of Nagasaki. It is officially called Hashima, but now nicknamed Gunkanjima, or “Battleship Island,” because it resembles a warship in the waters. It seems instead of the middle ages when the Animated show takes place, that will not be the case in this version. The setting looks to take place in a post Apocalyptic future where Titans have devastated the world around humanity. This background can clearly be seen in the posters and the location of filming only confirmed speculations of a modern world for the film. This is a big change to the story setting but will it take away from the overall experience of the TV show? Which will only be seen if they bring the emotional distress of being enclosed by walls that were supposed to protect humans from man-eating Titans.

As for the cast Japanese site Sanspo announced that actor/singer Haruma Miura will be starring in the live-action film. Along with Miura as Eren, be Mizuhara Kiko as Mikasa, Shu Watanabe as Fukushi, Ayame Misaki as Hiana, and Rina Takeda as Lil (the last three are new characters). The three new characters and the time setting are not the only changes being promised. Sanspo also reports that the filmmakers will add “original elements” to the movie’s plot. This is when fans start biting their nails and praying…..”please be good”…..”please be good.” Above are all the official cast movie posters recently released.
