Day one of New York Comic Con 2017 is now in the books but was a fantastic first day at the event. Many comic cons which begin on Thursday will typically have shorter hours for opening day. Not in New York! The doors opened at 10am and had steady crowds throughout the day. Around 2-3pm the foot traffic dramaticaly increased and had a Friday/Saturday feel already. Not overly crowded however, and many of the aisles allow for some good ducking, weaving, and passing by those standing or attending booths.
The cosplay was a little light but that will likely pick up beginning today.
