Nightmare Weekend is three days of creepy fun hosted by GalaxyCon. It runs May 2-4 in the Chicago area at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. Nightmare Weekend is all about celebrating the scarier side of the fandom world. This is a horror themed pop culture fan convention. This is the first event GalaxyCon has hosted in the Chicago area, and I hope to see many more.
Celebrity Guests
This event has a laundry list of guests that cover both old and new school in the horror genres. Cassandra Peterson Harvey Guillén, Kayvan Novak, and William Shatner are a just a few that you can get photo ops and autographs of. You can even get yourself a tattoo package which includes a tattoo of a celebrity autograph, photo op & cell phone video.

Events
The schedule is up and now is the time for you to plan out your weekend experience. Voice Actors, artists, tattoo artists, entertainers, wrestlers, and vendors will be in abundance. Whether you are there to participate, or shop or just people watch there is a lot for you to do. If you are with the littles there are family friendly events, fan groups, panels and a family area you can visit. If you left them at home then check out the After Dark programming which includes dance parties, cabaret shows, and a showing of the Rocky Horror Picture show. If you are really adventurous you can check out the Deep Space Boutique.
