New ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Trailer – “Can’t You Just Be A Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man?”

Sony Pictures released a new trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming and there are some great reveals. First off,  we immediately begin to learn how Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) had his hand in the creation of the Spidey suit and its functions. Equipped with its own Jarvis-like A.I., the female voice informs Peter Parker (Tom Holland) that he has “576 possible web-shooter combinations” at his disposal. The tech looks amazing on this new outfit, but is it too tech-heavy? We also see Spider-Man’s strength, as he strains to hold tight on his webs holding two ferries, reminiscent of Spider-Man 2’s train scene. Plus, the Vulture (Michael Keaton) get a bit more trailer time and a much better look at the tech involved in his winged outfit. Give it a look and tell us what you think in the comments!

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly, with Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr. The film swings into theaters on July 7, 2017.
