The New Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer is here!

Debuting on NBC during last night’s telecast of the Rio Olympics, the upcoming anthology film Rogue One got its best trailer to date. Walt Disney Pictures/Lucasfilm dropped the 2-minute video giving fans a terrific look at the cast of Rebels on a suicide mission to infiltrate the Death Star in order to retrieve the schematics of the massively powerful space station.
We even get glimpses of Mon Mothma and the man in black himself! No, not Johnny Cash. Vader. Darth Vader. Yeah. To quote Hooper X, “the blackest brother in the galaxy.” Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments. Does this get you even more excited about December?

Rogue One tells the story of resistance fighters who have united to steal plans to the dreaded Death Star. Felicity Jones leads the cast as Jyn Erso alongside Mads Mikklesen who plays her father, Galen Erso. Diego Luna (Milk) stars as Captain Cassian Andor with Donnie Yen (Ip Man, Blade II) as the blind spiritual warrior Chirrut Imwe, Jiang Wen (Let the Bullets Fly, Devils on the Doorstep) as his heavily armored best friend Baze Malbus, Alan Tudyk (Firefly) as the droid K-2SO, Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler, Four Lions) as the Rebel pilot Bodhi Rook, plus Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland) as Saw Gerrera, a character first introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Ben Mendelsohn (Bloodline, Mississippi Grind) as the film’s main antagonist, Director Orson Krennic.

Directed by Gareth Edwards, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set for release on December 16, 2016.
