[Movie News] In Theaters This Week – July 16, 2021

This week’s new releases make quite a unique trio. There’s a thriller about six people that unwittingly find themselves locked in a series of escape rooms and must do their best to survive, a documentary investigating the house that inspired the film The Conjuring, and the sequel to the 1996 classic Space Jam, this time starring basketball star LeBron James!

Escape Room: Tournament of Champions (PG-13)

Six people unwittingly find themselves locked in another series of escape rooms, slowly uncovering what they have in common to survive. Joining forces with two of the original survivors, they soon discover they’ve all played the game before.

The Sleepless Unrest: The Real Conjuring Home

The world-famous house that inspired The Conjuring film has recently been sold and is now open to paranormal investigations. With special access, a small group of filmmakers and paranormal investigators are allowed to move into the famously haunted home for two weeks in hopes of capturing evidence. During this time the group will be experiencing, investigating, and documenting every moment. Will they be able to make it through their stay? Do malevolent spirits still haunt this home, or is it something more sinister?
