Movie News: In Theaters This Week – December 20, 2024

The big-name movies keep rolling out this season, and this weekend is no exception with four new movies – three of which already have quite a bit of name recognition. There is a new adaptation of a classic Alexandre Dumas book, an origin story for characters of Disney’s classic The Lion King film, a third outing for a comic book film franchise, and more!

The Count of Monte-Cristo

After escaping from an island prison where he spent 14 years for being wrongly accused of state treason, Edmond Dantès returns as the Count of Monte Cristo to exact revenge on the men who betrayed him.
