The next Spider-Man movie has been filming for several months, with star Tom Holland giving us various teases via social media. It has been rumored that the main villain would be Mysterio, played by Jake Gyllenhaal. A recent set video of the film’s big fight shot in Liberec, Czech Republic seems to confirm that rumor.

There isn’t much to the video, but it appears to show Spider-Man having just beaten his opponent when law enforcement shows up. There is quite a bit of destruction done by the fight, evidenced by the flaming debris all around them.

Gyllenhaal’s role as Mysterio has never been confirmed by Marvel Studios or Sony Pictures. His casting has never been confirmed by either studio as well, only in trade outlets. There have been several versions of Mysterio over the years, and it is believed that Gyllenhaal will be playing Quentin Beck.

According to Marvel.com, Quentin Beck was a stuntman and special effects designer in Hollywood who turned to a life of crime when he felt that he did not get the recognition he deserved. He first teamed up with the Tinkerer and wore an alien costume to throw people off. At one point he even replicated many of Spider-Man’s powers and posed as him in order to frame him for crimes committed by Beck. Mysterio is well-known as a member of the Sinister Six, a group of Spider-Man’s enemies that teamed up to try and defeat the web slinger. Other members of the group include Electro, Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, Sandman, and Vulture.

As the title suggests, Spider-Man: Far From Home does not take place in Peter Parker’s native New York. The events of the film take place while Peter and his friends are on a trip to Europe for the International Decathlon. He is  expected to seek out help from Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders).

Spider-Man: Far From Home will premiere in theaters July 5, 2019.
