Cinemark Wizarding World

With the multi-film franchises that have become fairly common nowadays, it has become a fun event to marathon those movies all in a row, such as with Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films and The Lord of the Rings.

Cinemark Theatres are getting in on the fun, hosting a Wizarding World XD Week August 31 – September 6. You can see all 9 films set in the magical world of Harry Potter, from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Several films will be shown each day, so if you can’t make it one day, you might be able to catch up the next.

The festival page says, “Experience the magic of the Wizarding World come to life through 35 trillion colors and custom engineered surround sound at our Cinemark XD auditoriums.” The films will be shown in Cinemark XD, the theater chain’s next-level cinema experience. It features a wall-to-wall and ceiling-to-floor screen, a JBL sound system featuring clear, digital sound, and the brightest digital images.

Pricing for the festival is quite reasonable, if not a downright bargain. If you can’t make it all week, or only want to see a film or two, tickets are $5 per film. If you don’t want to miss a single minute of the event, festival passes are only $25. If you buy a pass, you also receive a commemorative festival badge, a collectible keychain, and a specially designed cup. The cup will be refillable for $3.50 through November 30.

Theaters showing the festival can be located here. Passes and individual tickets are on sale now. Attendees can pick up their festival passes and reserve their seats at their local theater starting August 25th.

Fantastic Beasts 2: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be released November 16th.
