MomoCon 2024, held from May 24-27 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, was a major event for fans of anime, gaming, and pop culture. The convention began in 2004 and has grown to attract tens of thousands of attendees.
One of the major highlights of MomoCon 2024 was the lineup of guest speakers and celebrities. Attendees had the opportunity to meet voice actors such as Jodi Benson (Ariel from The Little Mermaid), Steve Blum (Wolverine in various animated series), and Erica Lindbeck (Barbie in Barbie: Dreamtopia).
Gaming was a significant focus and has the second largest open game hall in the entire United States, including PC Gaming, Console Tournaments, Console Freeplay, Classic Arcade, Board Gaming, Card Gaming, RPGs, and LARP. Rate the Con
Our new thing for 2024 is to ask our readers to take a poll on some basic components of the con. We want to know how you rate the parking, the vendors and the food. The poll closes after 30 days and we will use this as a baseline for next years convention. We hope to eventually have a rating system set up for many of the conventions.

Overall it was a fantastic event, but there were some criticisms. Crowd management is a common complaint at almost any convention. Long lines and poor signage lead to confusion and aggravation for many. The available food selection was also a minor issue. Many seemed disanointed with the food options available at the con.
The biggest complaint overall was with security. There were numerous complaint of rude security officers and inaction on their part regarding complaints.
Cosplay photos are provided by a neutral third party with no opinions given on the event. Cosplay photos are provided to highlight the skills and enthusiasm of the photographer and cosplayers. All opinions and facts in the article are by the author.
