Sideshow’s newest premium format figure release is an excellent piece of sculpting art and details, but is breaking your wallet worth it?
Marvel’s very own Carol Danvers PF statue was shown off by Sideshow Collectibles, giving us a new full reveal of the upcoming Captain Marvel statue. The detail on this, in my opinion, is absolutely fantastic. I find that that the sharpness in the color brings out the full effect of the statue. I also found myself very fond of the Sideshow exclusive release featuring her in her Kree helmet, all details are simply astonishing.

All seems to be great until the price tag is revealed. Sideshow is asking $499.99 per figure, which could be insane to any non-collector, but to a hugeMarvel fan this price is pretty reasonable. Sideshow’s payment option also allows for monthly payments for as little as $56.25.

So my answer to “if this PF Sideshow statue is worth the cost?” I say, absolutely!
If we take a look at past Captain Marvel statues, we notice that this paint is more flat than glossy and the platform on which she stands have been a bit basic. Unlike here, they have some sentiment to her platform with it being a piece of wreckage from a Brood ship. They have really outdone themselves with this exquisite release of Carol Danvers, which is a “must have” for any collector.
