ABC‘s hit series “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” will be incorporating characters and components from the Secret Warriors series for their third season.  Unfamiliar with this series?  Here is a brief look into the comic and how it can/will incorporate in Marvel’s television property.

SW Banner

Secret Warriors was a series by Marvel from 2009-2011 and consisted of 28 issues.  The premise for this series was that Nick Fury decided to create a team of super-powered individuals to assist with some covert ops against the race of Skrulls that threatened their very being.  Given the salary of actor Samuel L. Jackson‘s caliber, this team will likely make a slight adjustment as to the group’s creator.  Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) is primed to form this elite group headed by Daisy “Skye/Quake” Johnson (Chloe Bennet) tasked to assist agents in tracking down Inhumans.

AoS Inhumans

Marvel will have their presence known at this year’s San Diego Comic Con International (7/9 – 7/12). On July 9th – July 11th, SHIELD ambassadors will be roaming (stealthy) the convention center seeking out the truest fans to the series.  For each con visitor that is selected, they will receive a “Secret Warriors” limited edition pin.  Once fans are “recruited,” their first objective would be to take a selfie showing the pin and submitting the pic to social media using the hashtag #SHIELDSecretWarriors.  The cast of Agents of SHIELD will then select their favorites.  To stay up-to-date with the ambassadors as they scour San Diego for agents to recruit by following them on Twitter – @AgentsOfSHIELD.

More will be revealed about season three of AoS and Secret Warriors inclusion as Marvel takes the stage @ SDCC on Friday, July 10th from 3:00 PM – 4:15 PM in Ballroom 20.  The third season of Agents of SHIELD returns on Tuesday, September 29th at 9:00 PM.
