While we may only have a teaser trailer for the forthcoming Deadpool 2, we do have an idea of what new characters will be appearing in the sequel as well as who will be playing them. While Deadpool comic creator Rob Liefeld may have wanted Russell Crowe to portray the mutant Cable, the role ultimately went to Josh Brolin.
Even though he was only cast about a month ago, the actor has not been wasting any time and has started hitting the gym to get himself into proper Cable shape. He has been sharing his progress on Instagram, including his diet of no sugar, no bread, and no pasta.
Brolin will also be portraying Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, which is currently filming.
