Jodie Sweetin Is Having a Big Year – Hear Her Emotional Tale of Struggle From ‘DWTS’

Jodie Sweetin touched many people during her “Most Memorable Year” performance on last night’s Dancing with the Stars.  This episode focuses on reflection and Sweetin became transparent and revealed a dark time in her life.

JS3My most memorable year has been this past year of my life. Getting to step back [into the spotlight] and find my dreams and the things that I love again [has been amazing].”

Sweetin then went even deeper and exposed hew low point, “Drugs and alcohol just sort of numbed everything. I was doing cocaine and ecstasy and [abusing] alcohol and all of that,” she continued. “The darkest moments for me weren’t necessarily winding up in the hospital… they were those quiet moments alone when I just hated the person that I had become.”

The 34-year-old star has had quite a year. After being out of the spotlight for some time, Jodie returned to a revamping of her former series in the Netflix original program Fuller House, she obviously is seen weekly on Dancing With The Stars, and now hearing her emotional tale of addiction, the hold it had on her, and how she overcame it, just tops all the great things going for Sweetin.
