After weeks and months of non-stop rumors, I can now OFFICIALLY report…..Fox Television is reviving the cult sci-fi classic “The X-Files” for a six-episode limited series!!
The X-Files premiered on September 1993 and ended up with a very successful run on television for 9 seasons. The sci-fi TV show that dealt with investigating mystery cases which were classified “X-Files” and lead to some of the best geek TV watching for a long time. The paranormal phenomena investigating team show won an amazing 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award!
Returning to the show is series creator Chris Carter, who will be joined by The X-Files greats, David Duchovney as FBI Agent Fox Mulder and Gillian Andersen as Agent Dana Scully.
This new FOX limited series comes thirteen years after the original!

There have been two X-Files movies featuring Mulder and Scully but fans have long-awaited for a television return. So far there is only six episodes announced with no further details on the series or its plot have been given so far. I am so super excited. I am going to start binge watching The X-Files re-runs right now!!
