Is ‘God of War’ Really That Good? – Official E3 2016 Gameplay Trailer | PS4

If it was not obvious enough from the fan-reaction videos that can be found on YourTube; of high-pitch screams, exclamations of euphoric ‘OH MY GOD’s’ from grown boys and the repeatedly incoherent chants of ‘let’s go!’ from someone who apparently lost their got-damn-mind! Fans clearly thought that the Gods of War reveal from SONY was the biggest thing to hit the stage at E3 2016.

A frenzied pack of reactions, that was nothing less than ravenous then maybe having the God of war, Kratos himself show up in real life. But is God War really that good?

With well over 6.8 Million views on YouTube, it might just be.

Now that we have all had time to sit and reflect on E3 2016, we can clearly see that this version of God of War is a much different deeper kind of game, not the normal hack n’ slash linear gore-fest.

Viewed from over the shoulders behind Kratos’ with a free roaming camera, that is just the beginning of the changes for fans of GoW, as there is also a new companion in this journey for Kratos, his very own son!

This God of War is an, intensely dramatic, more in-depth RPG type of game, something GoW creators have worked tirelessly to develope. A new game type that SONY is hoping to draw in new fans with, as well as keep the old ones appeased with the expected brutality.

God of War – E3 2016 Gameplay Trailer | PS4

Kratos is a quieter, more character-driven with the introduction of his son. Kratos in the previous God of War games was always a scorned being who had lost everything, hence why he was always hell-bent on just dishing out non-stop buttons smashing carnage.

Found in a world that is filled with mystery, intrigue, hidden paths, secret nooks, and collectables all throughout the vastly lush lands and mountains. Still loaded with gorgeous eye-candy cinematic greatness that leaves one drooling, it is now cleverly intertwined with a magnificent story of Dad teaching son and vise versa. Reports of the power enhancing ‘Rage Meter’ being used as a gage between father and son interactions is fascinating to think of what vast possibilities may lay within.

“This game is about Kratos teaching his son how to be a god, and his son teaching Kratos how to be human again.” – Cory Balrog creative directors tells IGN.

Who could not fall in love those touching moments.

“We’ve already told the story of The Hulk. We want to tell the story of Banner now.” – Balrog

Barlog and Sony Santa Monica wanted to completely surprise fans and non-fans of the series with a revamped new phase for GoW, and by the Gods, they seem to have nailed it!
