Internet tries to kill a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle! Donatello is NOT dead!

For as long as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been around and all perils that they have gotten out of time and time again, it seems one enemy was almost too tough to fight off. But even the Ninja Turtles could somehow find a way to rise above this ultimate evil, the evil known only as……The INTERNET!!

It seems a huge swell of hysteria had been caused on the Internet by what comic book fans thought was the death of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (TMNT), as a ninja turtle was rumored to have died in a final panel of TMNT issue #44. As the story goes in the book, Donatello, the tech genius of the group was left behind to catch up to the rest of the team, when suddenly old foes Rocksteady and Bebop hand a horrible ass-kicking to Donatello. Leaving the poor teenage turtle seemly beaten to death…..

The news and pictures of this final panel reached the Internet and it was a wildfire which the likes I have never seen before. I have seen comic book hype before, but this was a book only one or two days old and people were already commanding $20 to $100 an issue depending on the cover. Thus sending a mass of comic book ‘scalpers’ trying to cash in on the next big book. But there is one thing to always keep in mind in comic book land and most of us comic geeks growing up in the 90’s learned all too painfully! No one ever dies in comic books anymore!! There is NO sure-fire investment comic book that is a must have. Always wait, is my best advice.

We now fast forward to today and there is yet a NEW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle comic book image which is now on the internet! It is a few panels from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles issue #55 and guess who is on the inside?! Just look at that….Donatello is back to life and being nursed to health by Splinter.

Rarely do comic books today ever get to be as valuable as speculators wish. The value does not stay and as ‘investment’ books go……modern comic book ‘investing’ is not the way to go. If you really want to enjoy the hobby of comics I strongly advise one thing. Don’t worry so much about money value in comic books but rather how much you yourself value the comics themselves. N’UFF SAID!!
