They brought two of their mechanical puppets to Beijing and put on a show. What made it unique was that these weren’t your standard puppets. La Princesse is a 50-foot tall spider that was showcased in Liverpool, England in 2008 as part of the European Capital of Culture celebration. It was then moved to Yokohama in 2009 as part of the 150th anniversary of their port opening. In 2014 La Machine created Long Ma, which is a 46-ton, wood and steel,

However, July 9th was the finale for a marathon of a slightly different type. Kevin Doyle completed a 645 mile marathon that ran from Petaluma to San Diego, in honor of his wife Eileen who died of pancreatic cancer in 2012. What made this marathon different than others was that he had done it in Stormtrooper armor. The marathon started on June 6th at the Rancho Obi-Wan, a “Star Wars” museum and ended at the San Diego

On the bleak somber day that news was coming out of Nintendo, the death of the legendary Iwata was reaching all corners of the world. The sporadic dark clouds could not contain the faint but symbolic rainbow that arched over Nintendo of Japan’s headquarters. It was

Read moreTablegate Busted! July 3rd, I heard the ramblings of what was to become the beginnings of what is refuted to on the Internet as “Tablegate.” From the events which transpired at Montreal Comic Con MCC… from my point of view (and I read everything) things were so taken out of context it led to a massive snowball effect that has made me look at individuals I respected in this industry in a whole new light. I was not there and nor were MANY of the people who had plenty to say on the Internet. I was reading the same tweets and
