The Fantastic Four of Josh Trank and Its Fantastic Failure!

I was one of the naysayers in the beginning. In a world where there is a double standard and a movie cannot be judged on trailers or production information unless it is positive; I have SEEN the movie and therefore I can speak as ill as I want about something that I feel ashamed I paid money for. As my wife said; “Should have waited for half-price Tuesday.” As I am asked the million dollar question this evening; “Christian, what was Fantastic four like? Describe it!” The best I can do is this anecdote from my youth: When in high

I finished reading this book a few weeks ago and I’m still having dreams about it. This is possibly the best book I’ve read this year. It’s one of those books that lingers with you. It takes places in 2044 where humans use a virtual reality realm called OASIS to escape their grim reality.  The protagonist, Wade, is engaged in a virtual scavenger hunt that could potentially make him a billionaire. A Fire Breathing Dragon and Giant Spider Battle Over the Beijing Stadium

The French artist group La Machine did something very unique to celebrate the 50th anniversary of French-Chinese diplomatic relations. They brought two of their mechanical puppets to Beijing and put on a show. What made it unique was that these weren’t your standard puppets. La Princesse is a 50-foot tall spider that was showcased in Liverpool, England in 2008 as part of the European Capital of Culture celebration. It was then moved to Yokohama in 2009 as part of the 150th anniversary of their port opening. In 2014 La Machine created Long Ma, which is a 46-ton, wood and steel,

Stormtrooper Walks a 645-Mile Marathon in Memory of His Wife #StarWars #SDCC

Marathon walks for a cause are not uncommon; most do it in honor of someone who is suffering or that they have lost. However, July 9th was the finale for a marathon of a slightly different type. Kevin Doyle completed a 645 mile marathon that ran from Petaluma to San Diego, in honor of his wife Eileen who died of pancreatic cancer in 2012. What made this marathon different than others was that he had done it in Stormtrooper armor. The marathon started on June 6th at the Rancho Obi-Wan, a “Star Wars” museum and ended at the San Diego
