Reptile’s Wierd D&D Home Brew

Welcome to the 5^th edition of my weird home brew. I hope you have enjoyed the previous editions and found a place for them in your 5E games.

Today I’m going to bring you an NPC and his odd invention. you may want to add to your campaign.

Lee Trean

10^th level  male human wizard

Armor Class: 12 (Robes only)
Hit Points: 62 (10d6 +20)
Speed: 30 feet

• Skills:

  • History +8
  • Investigation +8
  • Stealth +6
• Senses: Passive Perception 11
• Languages: Common, Gnomish, Halfling
• Challenge: ½ XP: 100

Lee is the self proclaimed inventor of the first line of Flushable Chamber Pots he has named “Le Flush”. Using his knowledge of the arcane arts he has created a chamber pot that magically empties it’s self. By use of a programmed dimension door spell placed on the inside of the pot it empties itself after each use. The waste is magically whisked away to an unknown location. Where it empties to is yet unknown, but he figures that is a problem to be solved at another time. In fact he is quite proud of his invention and will talk about it as often as he can, as he is making some good coin selling them.

Lee has a criminal background and is not above scamming the wealthy out of their coin. Though with his latest invention he now tries to sell himself off as one who was always part of the wealthy class. He dresses in flashy bright blue and gold robes topped off with the classic tall pointed wizard’s hat adorned with gold stars and crescent moon. He wears lots of flashy rings and gold chains around his neck and from one hangs a small working rendition of his “Le Flush” chamber pot. He likes to use it to give small demonstrations of how his invention works. He will surround himself with other wealthy looking people and will spend gold on lavish meals and drink. While he will always keep up the appearance of having great resources he is often close to being broke. So he will push the sales of his invention as often as he can and is not above thievery if the occasion arises.

Actions: 

• Basic Attack: One target per attack action.
• Quarterstaff. Melee Weapon Attack:+4 to hit, reach 5 ft. 1d6+0 bludgeoning damage. (if used 2 handed in melee, does 1d8+0 damage.)
• Dagger. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft. 1d4+2 piercing damage. (if thrown, normal range to 20 ft,; disadvantage long range 21 to 60 ft.)

Spell casting:

• Spell Attack Modifier +8
• Spell Save DC 16

Cantrips Known:

• Blade Ward
• Fire Bolt
• Mage Hand
• Minor Illusion
• Prestidigitation.

Prepared Spells:

• 1^st Lvl: Catapult, Mage Armor, Detect Magic, Charm Person
• 2^nd Lvl: Aganazzar’s Scorcher, Invisibility, Misty Step
• 3^rd Lvl: Fireball, Fly
• 4^th Lvl: Confusion, Conjure Minor Elementals
• 5^th Lvl: Steel Wind Strike, Cloudkill, Cone of Cold.

Lee Trean’s “Le Flush”

 Le Flush is a Magical Chamber Pot invented by the wizard Lee Trean as a quick money making gimmick.

The pot is made of  polished copper with 3 legs. It is 11 inches across and stands 11 inches tall. The pot is normally placed on a chair or some other slightly taller platform when used. The pot doesn’t look to be anything out of the ordinary other than it’s well polished with a constant gleaming sheen. To use the pot one simply relieves themselves in it and once done there is a quiet whooshing sound and the pot is instantly empty and clean.

The pot has been imbued on the inside with a programmed dimension door spell. A trick the Wizard Trean has kept quite secret but manages to make enough of these to sell among the wealthier circles of the realm. If one is found among the poorer classes it was likely stolen. One of the problems with the Le Flush is Trean has never truly worked out where the contents of the pot ends up. The fact that he has never solved that issue has never slowed him down from making and selling them.

Note to DM: You can use this as a humorous point in your game by being creative as to where the wastes from the Le Flush ends up.
