There are some unique files out there on the internet. This is one of them. Mark Davis, who worked at a Kmart in late 80’s and early 90’s, kept the in-store background music from cassette tapes issued from corporate. Instead of just tossing them out, he uploaded them to Archive.org.
This collection contains 56 tapes of elevator-type muzak. I suggest starting with “Kmart 30th Anniversary Program.” It contains hits from the 60’s and won’t put you to sleep in the office.
