Florida PolyCon was held at Florida Polytechnic University. It was a vibrant celebration of geek culture, innovation, and creativity. The event took place on March 16, 2024 and brought in students, faculty, industry professionals, and enthusiasts from across the region to engage in a wide array of activities, panels, workshops, and more.
The convention embraced the rich tapestry of geek culture. The event included comic books, anime, cosplay, gaming, and fandoms of all kinds. Cosplayers brought iconic characters to life, adding a colorful and immersive element to the event. Cosplay contests, and photo opportunities allowed attendees to connect with like-minded fans and showcase their creativity.

Our new thing for 2024 is to ask our readers to take a poll on some basic components of the con. We want to know how you rate the parking, the vendors and the food. The poll closes after 30 days and we will use this as a baseline for next years convention. We hope to eventually have a rating system set up for many of the conventions.

Of course there is cosplay, all the events we cover have cosplay. This event has a very strong focus on cosplay, with most of their guests being cosplayers and cosplay crafters. They had over 30 cosplay guests, there are not many events with this many cosplayers.
Cosplay photos are provided by a neutral third party with no opinions given on the event. Cosplay photos are provided to highlight the skills and enthusiasm of the photographer and cosplayers. All opinions and facts in the article are by the author.
