Dave Chappelle filmed a HBO special, is it a comeback?!
A few weekends ago it had been reported that Dave Chappelle had one of his recent shows taped for a special. The folks at Austin’s ACL Live in Texas, were taped during his newest set of material performed for all the eager fans. Sources have revealed that the material will be used for a yet ‘untitled’ special that will be premiering on HBO.
This is the first time Dave has taped anything since his unexpected departure from his hugely successful Comedy Central Dave Chappelle show. At the time many people thought Dave had gone crazy for walking away from $50 millions of dollars that was part of his TV deal. In the few interview he did since then on the Oprah show, James Lipton show Chappelle never honestly revealed how leaving really impacted his life. In the David Letterman interview I have provided below, we get a more real understanding how Dave sort of regrets leaving that money on the table now.
As for the stand up special that will air on HBO…..I will update our followers as soon as more information is available. All new material is much-needed from Mr. Chappelle…..I can only say “I’m Rick James bitch!” so many more times now.
