Hey PopcultHQ fans! Today I’m covering something really cool. The company Colouredcontacts.com asked us to review their line of cosplay contacts.
They offer a pretty large catalog of contact lens types and colors. They even cater to people like old Reptile here, who needs a little bump on his vision with prescription lenses.
They carry a number of different brands in different prescription strengths from +5.00 down to -6.00. Yes, they also carry 0.00 for those who are blessed with 20/20 vision.

When my test sample arrived, it came with a bottle of Multipurpose Solution and a case for the contacts, besides the contacts themselves. (Now I’m not sure if this is the norm, but it was a nice touch)
I chose the chromaview lenses in the Yellow Cat Eye style. Let me tell you, I wore those lenses for 13 hours straight and found them very comfortable and true to my prescription. I was able to do everything that I normally do including taking a long drive to a friend’s wedding. It was amusing watching the other guests reactions when I took my sunglasses off. I should wear them more often just to watch the reactions of the people around me. I couldn’t help but silently chuckle as some were fascinated and others were a little creeped out.
My only problem with the lenses was getting them to settle in the correct direction, as you can see, I was a little askew for a bit.
I enjoyed their product so much that I am going to order several different pairs to go with my cosplays. Now you may be wondering, what about pricing? As someone who wears prescription lenses all the time, their prices are very reasonable for a cool looking product you can wear as easily as your own every day contacts.
