TeslaCon refers to themselves as “the largest single immersion event for Steampunk fans in North America.” They offer a variety of experiences including lectures, workshops, fashion shows, competitions, entertainment, balls, dinners, and tea time.
The theme for this year’s event was “The Curse of Anubis and the Arcane Mystery Machine,” a weekend dedicated to archeological shenanigans, ancient mysteries, and ludicrous predicaments.
Normally, steampunk is a fantastical journey back to Victorian fashion mixed with current and future technology in a “What if?” world of steam technology. The Egyptian theme adds a whole new depth to the creativity, style, and fashion.
