Prehistoricon was held April 22nd in Mulberry, Florida. This event is a little different than most we cover, but seems to be just as much fun. This event travels back in time to celebrate those that are long departed from the surface of this planet… dinosaurs.
This unique central Florida event featured a strange mix of fossils, gemstones, and steampunk. They had events such as an Indiana Jones look-a-like contest and a modern dinosaur (reptile) petting zoo. Other things to do included a food-truck serving prehistoric-themed meals, a Jurassic Park car show, a life-sized rideable dinosaur, an inflatable dinosaur race, and panels about fossils, dinosaurs, and everything in between.
It may have been a little different, but like all events we cover, there was cosplay. The only thing they seem to be missing was a few Flintstones.
