PortConMaine is a four-day celebration celebration of geek culture. They call themselves Maine’s first, longest-running, and largest convention, which is highly possible as they started in 2002.
This event celebrates fandoms from all genres including anime, gaming, science fiction, costuming, fantasy, video gaming, boffer combat, comics, pop culture, and steampunk. If you have a hobby or interest, you can probably find someone else here who shares it with you.
This is a smaller local convention, well-loved by the attendees and vendors. Rather than focus on celebrities, this even chooses to focus on the community. They invite local artists, cosplayers, and charities to participate. They are extremely active in fundraising and work with various charities throughout the year.
