As spectacular as the event is, it was not without its problems. This was the first real year since the pandemic and people were excited to see NYCC return. This led to a very high attendance which meant lines. Lines were long for everything.

Other issues that people complained about were not unusual for New York, but apparently shockers for many. Panhandlers, pushy street sales, homeless, drug use, and theft are common in any big city; it just seemed to be a little more prevalent than normal over the NYCC weekend.
But, overall the majority has a great time.
