Lilac City Comicon is held annually at the Spokane Convention Center in Spokane, WA. The event this year took place over the weekend of June10th. With over 200 exhibitors and artists, they bill themselves as the largest comic book and pop culture convention in eastern Washington State.
This is a multifaceted event with a diverse guest list includes anime voice actors, small screen actors, gaming voice actors, stunt people, and artists from across all genres. A few of the names seen at this year’s event include voice actress Melanie Kohn, actor Michael Chambers, novelist Arabella Federico, and well-known professional wrestler, The Honky Tonk Man.
There were two cosplay contests. One for children on Sunday and an adult division contest on Saturday. Even without participating in a contest, cosplay is always popular. Thanks to Larry Hill, we get to see some of the cosplay that was on the convention floor.
