Kumoricon is an annual celebration of anime and Japanese culture that is held in the Pacific Northwest. This convention began in 2003 as a two-day event over Thanksgiving weekend. From 2004 to 2015, it ran three days over Labor Day weekend. In 2016. they moved to the Oregon Convention Center, where it now takes place between October and November annually.
Kumoricon got its name from from the Japanese word “cloudy” (kumori), which embodies the Pacific Northwest.
Like most conventions, there was a lot of things to do from panels to shopping. There were artists to check out, celebrities to visit, and events to attend. Also, like most cons, there were complaints and problems, but they mostly seem to focus around communication and layout.
Thanks to Emiru TwinSerpents Usagi, we get to see some of the cosplay that was on-site. You can find more photos on Facebook. You can find more of Eden on TikTok and Instagram.
