Kumoricon is an annual three-day anime convention in Portland, Oregon that was held November 11–13, 2022. This event is a jam-packed extravaganza of everything that it means to be a fan of anime and Japanese popular culture. This is the largest anime convention in Oregon.
Kumoricon got its name from the Japanese word for “cloudy” (kumori), referring to the Pacific Northwest weather. The first event was held in 2003 in Springfield, Oregon with about 400 attendees. Over the last 20 years the attendance has grown to over 8,000.
