The Hall of Heroes Comic Con was held at the Northern Indiana Event Center in Elkhart, IN, where they brought in some of the industries most talented celebrities and artists and over 150 of the region’s best vendors, artists, and cosplayers.
This was my first time attending this particular convention, even though I’d been aware of it for a few years. I ended up having a free weekend, so I hit up a friend to see if they were interested in attending as well, and we had a mini road trip to check out Saturday of the convention! The con was split up into two halls, directly across from each other which was awfully convenient. On the right was the vendor hall and autograph area, photo ops area, and one of the two panels rooms. On the left was the cosplay area, containing booths for the cosplay groups and area cosplay groups, and the second panel area.
Ratings:
Our new thing for 2024 is to ask our readers to take a poll on some basic components of the con. We want to know how you rate the parking, the vendors and the food. The poll closes after 30 days and we will use this as a baseline for next years convention. We hope to eventually have a rating system set up for many of the conventions.

Overall, the Hall of Heroes Comic Con made for a very fun day trip. The vendor hall contained a good mix of unique artists, comic book sellers, and general merchandise. One booth that was always busy every time I passed it was the build your own lightsaber booth! The cosplay area hosted representatives from the local 501st garrison, The Finest (G.I. Joe cosplayers), Ghostsbusters, and local charity groups such as Summit City Causeplayers and League of Enchantment. The cosplay guests were Knightmage, Envy the Green Fairy Cosplay, Andi Serpenti Cosplay, and Shamus Smith. Like any good convention, there were panels. There was a charity auction that benefited Boys and Girls Club of America, celebrity guest Q&As, and topics like Cosplay on a Budget, Cosplay 101, a cosplay parade, and Cosplay vs. Causeplay.
In addition to me debuting a new cosplay, there were plenty of other cosplayers in attendance. I managed to snap a few photos of them, so I hope you enjoy!
