We have always seen a lot of Star Wars and Deadpools at conventions. Now, with the success of the Deadpool and Star Wars you can expect to see a lot more of those characters at conventions. So, it wasn’t a surprise when I started looking through photos for the Great Lakes Convention and came up with a lot of Star Wars photos, I was just surprised that I didn’t see more Deadpool photos. Perhaps they went back to get their ammo bags?
Actually it was probably because this convention was themed as a Retro-con and they were aiming for characters, toys and comics of the 70’s and 80’s. The Great Lakes Comic Con was held at the Macomb Community College South Campus Expo Center.
I guess Star Wars falls into that category.
