Anime Houston is a three-day celebration of all things anime from cosplay to art. It was held at the Houston Marriott Westchase and the best thing was that they had free parking.
This multi-day extravaganza features a wide range of activities and attractions, including panels with industry professionals, cosplay contests, artist alleys, merchandise vendors, and anime screenings.
Guests and activities this year covered a wide range of interests that were guaranteed to keep everyone entertained. Programming included a burlesque show, a sumo wrestling exhibition, live music and fire juggling. Voice guests came from across industry and have worked in everything from anime to TV series. Voice actor guests, Greg Ayres (Koji Koda), Juliet Simmons (MEM-cho), and Catero Colbert (Killer Bee) are the voices of many beloved characters in different anime and shows.
This year, we have been graciously provided with cosplay photos from The STORM Factory, a group that works closely with the non-profit group The STORM Foundation. The STORM Foundation specializes in helping disadvantaged children and families in Houston and the surrounding areas that are living below the poverty line.
