Anime Central (ACen) returned to the Donald E. Stephens Conventions Center in Rosemont, Il over the weekend of May 19th through 22nd. ACen is the largest anime, manga and Japanese popular culture convention in Chicago and the Midwest.
This weekend-long, family-friendly event is the ultimate playground for everything anime-related from celebrities to art. This is your chance to take a picture with a cosplayer, get an autograph with some of your favorite voice actors, or walk away with a new series to watch. Pick up some artwork, attend a panel, or participate in one of the several workshops.
The event includes a huge exhibit hall, a massive video game room, concerts, dances, educational panels and workshops, premiere screenings, autograph sessions, 24-hour video rooms, tabletop gaming and so much more.
One of the big things is cosplay and thanks to Dax Orr, our on-site photographer, we get some fantastic cosplay photos from Friday.
