A Life Illustrated: Memoirs in Comics Friday, 7/19/19, 5:30p.m. – 6:30p.m., Room: 8 Spring saw the release of both Genderqueer: A Memoir from Maia Kobabe (who uses pronouns e, em, eir); a moving work of graphic nonfiction detailing eir coming of age and coming out as non-binary, and the first collection of the beloved webcomic, Our Super Adventure from Sarah Graley (Rick and Morty, Kim Reaper) and Stef Purenins; documenting all the weird little everyday flashes of shared absurdity that make up relationships. Join us for a discussion on how and why the comic book medium provides the perfect format for telling the life stories of the people behind them.
