Another big week in movies with Fantastic Beasts coming out on Thursday. Here is everything else coming to theaters this week:

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
This spin-off of the Harry Potter franchise jumps back in time to explore the wizarding world of 1926 New York, which is being threatened by both mystical acts of destruction and a group of extremist No-Majs (the American term for Muggles, i.e. those unable to use magic). Author Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) arrives in the city as part of a global study of fantastic beasts, but he gets caught up in this conflict when some of the magical creatures in his care are accidentally released. Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Colin Farrell, Ezra Miller, and Johnny Depp co-star in this fantasy adventure, which was directed by David Yates (who helmed four of the Harry Potter films) and adapted for the screen by J.K. Rowling from her own book.
The Edge of Seventeen
A precocious, narcissistic high schooler named Nadine (Hailee Steinfeld) is horrified when her best friend (Haley Lu Richardson) starts dating her impossibly perfect brother (Blake Jenner). Soon, she falls into a downward spiral that forces her to reflect on her cruel, self-centered behavior. Kyra Sedgwick and Woody Harrelson co-star. Written and directed by Kelly Fremon Craig.
Bleed For This
This sports drama tells the true comeback story of world-champion boxer Vinny “the Pazmanian Devil” Pazienza (Miles Teller). After a horrific car accident, Pazienza is told by his doctors that he might never walk again. Defying their orders, he continues to train as a boxer, returning to the ring and fighting to reclaim his belt only a year later. Aaron Eckhart, Katey Sagal, Christine Evangelista, and Ciarán Hinds co-star. Written and directed by Ben Younger.
Manchester By The Sea
A hardened handyman named Lee (Casey Affleck) returns to his hometown in New England after the death of his brother (Kyle Chandler) to care for his 16-year-old nephew (Lucas Hedges), but his arrival also unearths his checkered past. Soon, Lee comes back into contact with his estranged wife (Michelle Williams) as he deals with life in his tight-knit former community. Kenneth Lonergan directed this family drama
A Street Cat Named Bob
A homeless street busker (Luke Treadaway) struggling with addiction finds an unlikely focus for his life when a persistently friendly orange tom cat appoints himself as his “co-pilot”. Caring for the cat he names “Bob” and gaining strength from the feline’s unconditional love helps him leave his destructive habits and enter into a sober, better life. Based on a true story. Bob the Cat plays himself.
Life on the Line
A crew of electrical workers are thrust into danger when a deadly storm approaches their Texas town. Lead by Beau (John Travolta), the team work together in order to keep the power on for their community as the situation worsens.
