With fresh augments and new sponsors, Satta Flynn is ready for his big comeback fight. But while war never changes, fame is a fickle mistress. Can Satta reclaim the spotlight?

PopCultHQ’s Comic Book Review:
VS #2

Writing:

Ivan brings the “heroic” Flynn back to the field of combat for another round of “war.” But what will this fresh conflict bring? Who shall emerge triumphant? And what of the ‘heroes’ after-battle solitude? All will be seen and revealed as another day of broadcasting is brought to readers for their immense enjoyment.

Art:

Esad dishes out even more stellar art – the field of play, the armor and the weapons for Flynn and his team. And let’s not forget the design work on characters like the police forces and the announcers for the latest “war.” Paired to Ivan’s script, there’s nothing quite like VS out there and that is what makes it so fantastic.

Nic’s got color and ink in veins and it really shows this time around. Especially with the city scenes, all the colors used for the buildings, the ads, the citizens themselves. There’s nothing quite like the work of a colorist who connects with both the artist and storyteller. Crystal clear that these three have got a magic formula for quality comic book work going on.

Aditya is having a lot of fun working on VS. One can tell from the details of the lettering for many different aspects of issue #2. Flynn’s internal thoughts, the text for the announcers and the lettering on the ads for products like ‘STYX afterlife cosmetics.’ Whatever kinds of work comes up in issue #3, it will have Aditya’s mark all over it.

PopCultHQ’s overall assessment:

The wars continue for Flynn and his squad. Another battle approaches as he works to salvage things from the debacle of the previous broadcast. The big question is…can Flynn sort things out within himself as well as his public image? Pick up a copy of issue #2 and find out.

PopCultHQ’s Rating:

5 Out of 5 Stars
