Mark Millar has returned to one of his finest creations. It’s time to dive back into the world of Kick-Ass. Only this time, there’s a new face underneath the mask and she’s full of surprises. Mark’s writing is smashing like it always is, and this first issue is no exception. It is engaging and reaches out to grab fans by the neck and pull them into another crazy adventure.

Art:

John Romita Jr. is back in the saddle again. It’s time for another amazing Kick-Ass series with awesome artwork from John. That means heavy on the details and the violence too. So get ready, get set because the guns are going to be blazing again. There’s crime to be punished and John is the man to bring that crime-busting to life on the comics page.

Peter has nailed it on colors. There is not one page of John Romita Jr’s. artwork that isn’t bursting with color and life thanks to Peter. He has a real flair for making sure that every little detail is popping with excitement from his colors. It’s almost like they have a mesmerizing effect, drawing people further and further along the story, enticing them to turn the next page.

John working alongside Mark to bring fans another Kick-Ass series, it’s a made match. He just gets it, gets what is needed for lettering to help take this new series into the same spotlight as its predecessors. And what is needed, is a keen eye for lettering that helps take Mark’s ideas and characters and fleshes them out, gives them a place to breathe and become real.

Ladies and gents, this is the moment you’ve waited for. Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. are back once again. That means it’s time for another high-action, character-infused series within the realm of Kick-Ass. So grab those super-suits and bully clubs, come along for the ride, and meet the new face behind the Kick-Ass mask. It’s going to be another wild time.
