‘Call of Duty: Black Ops III’ Teaser Trailer Released

Treyarch recently released a teaser trailer for their highly anticipated game, Call of Duty: Black Ops III.  The teaser called Back in Black retraces steps of previous Call of Duty: Black Ops (COD BLOPs) characters including Alex Mason, the protagonist from the first COD BLOPs.

The first game to the series, Black Ops, was released in 2010.  The story takes place in the 60’s and gamers play through a series of flashbacks Mason has while being interrogated by an unknown identity.  The second installment of the game, Black Ops II, takes place in the 80’s and then in 2025 when Mason, the previous protagonist has retired from his agent days.  Alex Mason’s son, David Mason, then becomes a playable character in Black Ops II.

The video reveals that more details will come to us later this month as the world reveal date is set to April 26.  We get clued in hearing snippets about letters and numbers which is consistent with the first game in the series, not to mention an unidentifiable voice asking Mason what they mean.

The game is said to follow in the same footsteps of the first-person shooter franchise and the Call of Duty website promises that players will get a taste of more “cutting-edge military robotics [that] define warfare”.

And as any COD BLOPs player probably expects, the Zombie side of the game will also return.
